I don’t like those either. Horrible, horrible passive-aggressive environmental tokenism. Your alternative is much more straightforward. And who knows, you might inspire people to have a little drink themselves.
The strangest thing about those footers is that it implies that there’s a class of people who habitually print out emails. Sometimes I feel so out of touch with the rest of the world.
